Neighborhood Connections

In our Neighborhood Gatherings project to build community and get people together, Applegate residents can apply for $250 to support a neighborhood gathering of some sort. It can be anything:

• A pizza party
• A potluck to refine/update the neighborhood emergency phone tree or do other kinds of emergency prep
• A hyperlocal firewise event
• A show of some local art
• Support for a long-standing neighborhood party that helps new neighbors meet old timers
• A simple gathering where you get to know your neighbors

We just ask that it be open to everyone in your neighborhood, that you buy local food and drink when possible, and let us know how it went!

If you would like to host a neighborhood gathering in 2024, please fill out this form and let us know about your plans. If approved, A Greater Applegate will provide a $250 stipend to go towards food, beverages, venue, party supplies, or outreach materials.

After the gathering, we are asking folks to send pictures and a small write up of their party so we can track the events and their successes. Thank you for your interest and willingness to bring neighbors together!
