Join us for the final Poetry for the Planet book launch event. Thirty-five Rogue Watershed poets. One beautiful world. A love story now in print and ready to be shared. Poets will be reading their favorite poems from the book. Help us celebrate.
At last year’s Jacksaphine Count(r)y Fair, Lisa Baldwin and Seth Kaplan were thrilled to introduce a large and enthusiastic audience to a reading from some of the Rogue Valley’s talented poets, they called Poetry for the People. Even before the program ended, many were asking for a follow up focused on nature and environmental poems.
Lisa and Seth responded by publishing Poetry for the Planet 2026: Voices from the Rogue Watershed. Now, in support of the 2026 Jacksaphine Count(r)y Fair, contributors to this collection will be reading selections from the book at Red Lily Vineyards, September 20th from 2 to 4. This event is a partnership with A Greater Applegate and Red Lily Vineyards.
Come out to one of the most beautiful places on earth to honor our favorite planet! Celebrate Planet Earth and the local poets writing about her. We will be raffling off a basket of poetry to benefit A Greater Applegate. Wine and other beverages are available. This is a free family-friendly event!
This event is free. Books are available at local bookstores and will be available at the event for $20 or 2/$30.
