In 2018, A Greater Applegate created and launched two community connection projects, Applegate Valley Nonprofit Network and Applegate Valley Connect website. In 2019, the Applegate Valley Business Network was launched, with plans for additional projects in the near future.
Applegate Valley Nonprofit Network
A Greater Applegate wants to support nonprofit organizations in the Applegate Valley as they carry out their missions and work in our community. Through the Applegate Nonprofit Network, we can learn from each other and pursue collective interests. We plan to gather four times per year to increase our impact through networking and community building. Watch our Facebook page for invitations to future meetings.
ACT NOW! A Greater Applegate Momentum Grants
Momentum Grants are small grants for Applegate Valley projects and programs aligned with A Greater Applegate’s mission to build community by sustaining and enhancing local connections that promote the environmental, economic, and social vitality of the Applegate Valley.
By fostering new ideas and engaging organizations, businesses, and groups working to benefit the Applegate Valley, A Greater Applegate hopes to make a stronger, more connected, and more vital Applegate Valley community. Momentum Grant applications are accepted by A Greater Applegate annually on September 1 with up to $5,000 total awarded annually. The maximum grant award is $2,500, although smaller grants are encouraged.Click here for application

Applegate Valley Business Network
A Greater Applegate is facilitating the creation of a new Business Engagement Network for Applegate Valley-based businesses. If you are a business owner interested in learning more or being part of the steering committee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org today.
Applegate Valley Connect Website
Applegate Valley Connect is aligned with a statewide effort—conceived by Community Systems LLC and funded by The Ford Family Foundation—to promote community and communication in rural areas. It is a collaboration between A Greater Applegate and the Applegater Newsmagazine. This website is a communication and resource hub for all residents of the valley to learn more about their neighbors and neighboring communities, foster greater community involvement, encourage local economic activity, and promote greater self-reliance.
The intent of this website is to become the primary connection and source of information about what’s going on, where you can find services, and who’s doing what throughout the Applegate Valley. Our goal is to strengthen the network among Applegate Valley neighbors, visitors, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government officials and work toward a more informed and connected regional community.
